As a candidate, Donald Trump boasted that he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and his supporters would still vote for him. This was and continues to be true for many. What we didn't realize was that this blind support also applies to many Republicans, including our representatives.

Does anyone remember Rep. Chris Stewart's hypocrisy? He compared Trump to Mussolini, then, one week later, supported him.

With our extremely gerrymandered districts, I have little hope that our representatives will end their hypocrisy and put country ahead of party. However, with Trump's latest acts of incompetence, maybe enough members in Congress from more balanced states will sense that their political survival depends on challenging Trump.

Failure to execute the oath of office is reason to impeach. Anyone other than the president would be charged with crimes for obstruction of justice and treason.
