What with increased highway speeds and more distracted drivers, I believe automobile safety inspections are more important than ever. There's no doubt that cars and light trucks are better and safer than in the past, but worn tires and brakes, ineffective windshield wipers and burned out lights decrease the safety of vehicles new and old and are rarely monitored by owners.

Without annual inspection by trained technicians and mandatory repair or replacement, too many drivers and families will be traveling our 80 mph freeways and attempting emergency maneuvers in vehicles unsafe for the task.
