Letter: Old K-Mart could be a good homeless shelter

Could anyone tell me why the old K-Mart building on 90th South and about 1450 West couldn't be converted to a new homeless shelter. There are not many homes in the area, but mostly businesses. It is located on a bus route. I know it is in West Jordan, but it is very close to Sandy.

They could add a playground for the children where the flowers and plants used to be. I would prefer to find a place in Sandy so my city could do its part.
