From a proud Dane, immigrating to the United States in 1957 and becoming an even prouder U.S. citizen shortly after arriving in Utah, this letter is for all hysterical and hyperventilating sign swingers. You know who you are.
Take a deep breath. Exhale. Relax. Let go of your hate and rage. Then, put your right hand on your heart and repeat after me:
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
To you sore losers, I say:
Respect your citizenship. Respect the president of the United States, Donald Trump. Make our America great again.
If you can do that, you are on your way to becoming a true patriot, a patriot worthy of citizenship in the United States of America. Congratulations.
