We are quickly rushing toward a cliff. Jan. 20 will mark one of the biggest mistakes this country has ever made. This is not normal. Somehow an electoral minority became convinced that a man with no pertinent experience could effectively run, even improve on, our complex system of governing 320 million souls. Even before that fateful day, we are swiftly surpassing embarrassment toward real peril.

The incoming president is unqualified, not simply undesirable. These deficiencies are not minor — real trouble will ensue. A president cannot hold assets or conduct business in foreign lands (Emolument Clause; Article I, Sec. 9, Clause 8). This is not just unethical, it is unconstitutional. Simply passing assets off to family members is inadequate. Claiming you "won't talk to them" about it is as ludicrous as snake oil cures. This past week the nearly-president continued name-calling rants against reporters, media outlets and an actress. Really?

This temperament is not befitting of any elected official. Skin so thin seems biologically impossible. This personality, alongside a Cabinet of like minds, holds great potential for corruption. Wait and watch closely. Under other circumstances this may be amusing if it didn't carry such high stakes.
