The Affordable Care Act matters to me because without it I can't get health insurance. I'm a 50-year-old woman who would rather pay and have insurance than expect the emergency room to treat me and then not be able to pay. I would rather not cause insurance rates to go up because I can't get health care — but here we are.

It's time to wake up and realize there is a greater cost to not having affordable health care than there is to having it.
