What kind of crap is this tougher DUI bill you're suggesting? How can you even consider, for a moment, something like this when every car you pass on the local/state highways has someone texting while they are driving? This is nothing but another "feel good" reach for the low-hanging fruit to improve your image or re-election chances sometime in the future.

How many years ago was it the Legislature passed the no-texting law? How much emphasis has been focused on its enforcement?

In today's driving environment, texting is the problem. Drinking and driving is still out there but way behind in the cause of accidents compared to texting.

I consider myself an expert on the issue due to my six years working almost daily as a UDOT certified flagger in the streets and highways of Utah. Try enforcing the damn law!

You want to have an impact on drunk driving? Start arresting and deporting the massive illegal population this state caters to. I'm sure working for pay under the table is illegal, but it goes on every day right under the noses of law enforcement as they drive by Home Depot on 2100 South.

News flash! We don't need more laws or stricter laws. We need law enforcement!
