I recall the water-fluoridation lobby pointing to the low cavity rates in some cherry-picked fluoridated areas as proof that the toxic swill is effective, such was the lack of scientific rigor in the 2000 voting campaign. Using this line of logic, one might more persuasively argue today that the stuff causes cavities.

The recent Utah Health Department oral health survey found that two-thirds of kids ages 6-9 have dental decay, a far higher percentage than was touted in our pre-fluoridation days. Fluoridation in Utah has cost many millions of dollars. Just think of all the sealants and dental insurance for the needy that could have been paid for had the money not been poured down the drain.
