I respect the promise of Utah electors to vote for the Republican presidential winner, but I believe subsequent events release them from that promise. I doubt they thought they would be expected to vote for a man who endangers our national security, has multiple financial entanglements that may be illegal for a U.S. president and brags of grabbing women's private parts.

Therefore, I hope they will all consider casting their electoral votes for another conservative Republican.

Such a choice would provide a chance for the House of Representatives to select a unifying candidate who would likely be re-elected in 2020. Electing such a candidate is in the best interest of both the Republican Party and the nation.

Our Founding Fathers instituted the Electoral College for the exceptional situation we face now. I hope they will vote in their country's best interest instead of remaining legalistically bound to a promise made in different circumstances.
