Utah Gov. Gary Herbert and Reps. Jason Chaffetz and Mia Love have announced that Donald Trump has lost their vote for president of the United States, despite earlier endorsements or waffling. But others have insisted that, while they are disappointed with his behavior, they maintain their support if only because he is their party's nominee, including Sen. Orrin Hatch, Rep. Rob Bishop, and Speaker of the Utah House Greg Hughes.

I am willing to bet that every one of you endorsed the impeachment of Bill Clinton when he was president, and preached mightily about his unfitness for the office because of his unseemly liaison with an intern. It wasn't just politics, you insisted. America shouldn't have a man of such plainly immoral behavior in the White House. Some of you went on TV with all the righteous indignation you could muster to say as much.

So with Donald Trump boasting of groping women, what's your story now? Still planning to vote for Trump because a Hillary Clinton presidency is unthinkable, whereas Donald Trump in the White House is, oh, well, an acceptable compromise of your once sacrosanct moral standards? Guess it's just politics after all, isn't it?
