For those of you who are teetering on the abyss of voting for "The Donald," I would strongly suggest you read Leonard Pitts' column "Trump is a BS artist. And it's working for him" (Sept. 22). He quotes Fareed Zakaria and Kathleen Parker, among others. Pitts' point is simply, "Donald Trump is nothing more than Cliff Claven" holding forth in Cheers. In other words, to paraphrase Pitts, he is profoundly good at bovine secretion.

I know many in our great state of Utah lean toward the GOP. I also know that the Democratic candidate is not necessarily as pure in this contest as she could/should be. But folks, she is far better than the master con-artist known as Trump.

At a time when our country has so many problems to solve, we need someone who is schooled in government process, compromise, diplomacy and statesmanship. This is not Trump. It is Hillary Clinton. Most likely the most prepared president in the history of our republic. You may not agree with her, but please give us a fighting chance by electing someone who will truly do the best for this country, and not pass hot air.
