It seems that Donald Trump is not the only one who needs to read the U.S. Constitution, Rep. Chaffetz.

Duties of U.S. House of Representatives (short version): Collect taxes, borrow money, regulate foreign commerce, establish rules of naturalization and bankruptcies, coin money, punish counterfeiting, establish post offices, promote science and useful arts, create lower courts, define and punish felonies on the high seas, declare wars, raise and support armies, provide a navy, make rules for governing the military, call forth the militia when necessary, legislate for the U.S. governing district (D.C.), and make laws necessary to carry out these powers.

Nowhere in the U.S. Constitution does it say "waste time by continuing to pursue a case (emails!) that the FBI and Justice Department have already determined definitively as not illegal and not requiring prosecution."

Trump is running a campaign based on the notion that the people are tired of the status quo. You know what we are tired of? Congress wasting time and refusing to do the jobs it is legally required to do. It's bad enough that members of Congress, after a seven-week summer recess, are convening as briefly as possible so that they can go campaign for fear of losing their positions. We are not paying them to ignore their duties and spend time persecuting political opponents.
