It is apparent that, as usual, a government agency did not study a plan before implementing it. I am referring to the killing of fish from the release of sediment from the Tibble Fork Reservoir which was reported in the Tribune's Aug. 8 edition.

The federal Natural Resources Conservation Service stated: "All discharges are in accordance with the environmental analysis, permits and laws." Sounds like a bunch of governmental hooey.

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources should take some blame as well, as they should have shocked the American Fork River prior to the release of the sediment and moved the fish elsewhere. Once again, governmental agencies not communicating with one another.

What will the result from this not thoroughly thought out release be, only time will tell.
