The NSA data center in Lehi, Utah, uses 1.7 million gallons of water each day. West Jordan wants to give Facebook millions of dollars in corporate welfare to encourage them to locate in West Jordan and use 5.3 million gallons of water daily.

Meanwhile, we frequently face watering restrictions as we watch reservoir levels go down. Does it make sense for these big water users to locate in the desert? Shouldn't our public officials be more concerned with having adequate water supplies for a large and growing population?
