Thanks to Mark Madsen for leaving the Republican Party. He did not fit because real Republicans believe in an orderly society that protects citizens from the rich and powerful who want the "freedom" to do anything they please with their property, regardless of the impact on a community.

The same "owners" think business should have the freedom to pollute, misrepresent, monopolize, abuse workers … and all the other things that the greatest Republican, Theodore Roosevelt, ended with his trust-busting administration.

Real "R"s believe in fairness, honesty, ethical behavior and the quest for the good for all citizens, not just the few with the big bucks or special interests.

The Utah Legislature is lousy with Libertarians who highjacked the name "Republican" in order to fool Utahns into voting for them. Here's hoping another 60 or so will join Madsen and go back to their true party.

If we defeat the caucus system taken over by mostly Libertarians, and if those posers like Madsen leave, we might again have a real Republican Party in Utah devoid of the wolves in sheep's clothing.

You might still vote for the departed, but they'll be listed with their honest party name.
