What will schoolchildren be taught about the stupidity of their ancestors?

In 1816, many Americans believed that you could cure disease by cutting someone and letting the blood out. If that didn't work and the patient got even more sick from lack of blood, you bleed her again.

And in 2016, many Americans believed you could stop crime by taking guns from the good people in America. When that caused crime to go up, you just took more guns from more honest people, but left the criminals on the streets.
