Thank you, Salt Lake Tribune for your articles on pages A8 and A9 of your May 26 edition which prompted me to write (again).

On page A8 there's an article of an ex-CEO of McDonald's warning of dire consequences and issuing a thinly veiled threat to its workers about the dangers of raising the minimum wage, predicting massive job losses and robot replacement if one succeeds.

Then, on the next page, A9, there was an article about CEO pay climbing despite stock prices stagnating. I can't help but think that the easy solution to it all would be to have robots replace CEOs, thus freeing up the needed resources to provide a living wage to workers of all stripes.

I am also reminded of this still timely observation by Harry S Truman, "Republicans are for a minimum wage, the more minimum, the better!"

Working Utahns, please remember to vote this fall. It's our only chance to deliver a much-needed message to those "representatives" all too happy to sell us down the river. Trib, thanks for making your dots so easy to connect. This letter practically wrote itself!
