Earlier in the year Bernie Sanders won the Washington state caucus and earlier in the week they had a primary and Hillary Clinton won. The primary had over 700,000 participants and the caucus only had 27,000 participants.

The primary system is more reflective of the thoughts of the population. We need to move to a primary system that has more people participating in the choices and direction of our country. The caucus system does the nation a disservice in dragging out the election cycle and our potential leaders discussing the issues that affect our nation.

This type of kicking the can down the road is delaying the solution to the problems that we face as a nation.
