I was glad to read your coverage of the president's visit to Hiroshima and his reaffirmation of the goal of a world free of nuclear weapons.

As the country with the largest nuclear arsenal, the U.S. needs leaders who understand the enormous destruction nuclear weapons can cause.

President Obama is not the first president to call for nuclear disarmament. As President Reagan said, "Our moral imperative is to work with all our powers for that day when the children of the world grow up without the fear of nuclear war."

I hope my senators, Orrin Hatch and Mike Lee, will speak out in support of President Obama's visit.
