Regarding "House passes Chris Stewart-led Zika bill, White House threatens veto," (May 20):
We are writing to publicly thank our representative for his blatant exposure of the baseness of the political motives of the Republican Party. When the president requests funding to forestall the invasion of the Zika virus, the Republicans, in their zeal to discredit anything that the Democrats propose, focus for months on undermining the request rather than the fate of thousands of unborn children.
We hope that other Utah District 2 voters take notice and refuse to re-elect this deeply flawed representative. If saving children isn't a non-partisan issue, then what is?
