How many of you know that the speed limit on 300 South (Broadway) in Salt Lake City is 20 mph? Yes, 20! Even the mailman didn't know, and he drives on this street every day.

A friend of mine just got a $120 speeding ticket for going 30 mph! The speed limit signs are hidden on the right side of the bike lanes. The bikers go at least 25 mph to 40 mph without getting ticketed.

In residential areas you can go at least 25 mph or 30 mph. Only at schools do you have to slow down to 20 mph, when the yellow lights are flashing. On 300 South there are no kids, no schools, only speeding bikers.

Mayor Biskupski, please help implement real, visible, physical changes for your voters and business owners on Broadway. Make the street customer friendly again. Talk to us about solutions for the bike lanes, parking meters and the speed limit. A 20 mph limit and charging $120 for driving 30 mph on a business street is ridiculous.
