Imagine the money you pay for taxes being used to increase taxes and expenses in the state of Utah. This is happening right now in our state's Capitol.

There are 38 water lobbyists attempting to influence our legislators to spend our tax dollars on expensive water projects. These lobbyists are being paid hundreds of thousands of our tax dollars each year to convince our legislators to spend billions more dollars on water projects.

Some of these water projects are worth the money, but the Lake Powell pipeline is the worst of the bunch. Building this pipeline would saddle our state with debilitating debt for 50 to 90 years.

Without the expensive lobbyists, this unnecessary and unaffordable pipeline project would have been put on the shelf long ago.

The families and businesses of Utah have already spent more than $25 million for planning this ill-conceived sinkhole of taxpayer dollars. It is time to ask our legislators to consider the people of Utah rather than lobbyists paid to promote a bad project. The Lake Powell pipeline has got to go.
