Letter: Trump talks, but the U.S. has acted

The Dec. 21 Denver Post editorial ("Trump goes over the edge") talks of Donald Trump's truly despicable speech about "taking out" the families of terrorists.

Still, it's only talk. My country, on the other hand, has the killing fields of Wounded Knee, Dresden, Hiroshima, My Lai, Iraq , current drone assassinations and much else to its credit.

And on the Geneva Conventions, we have our performance in Guantanamo to brag about ?

It would seem that doing the despicable brutally hurtful job of killing unarmed civilians is OK as long as there is not a lot of advance talk about it. How hypocritical can we get?
