Since the founding of Dixie State University in 1911, the institution has made exceptional growth. Even within the last four years, since I enrolled as a freshman in 2011, former President Stephen Nadauld helped oversee the development of beautiful buildings expanding the campus. Our current president, Richard B. Williams, is following the exact same pattern with remodeling the Burns Arena, Hansen Stadium and new student housing.

This is wonderful, but by not offering more degrees and classes, enrollment will not increase and the expense for these wonderful infrastructures will be for nothing.

It may increase enrollment for the freshman and sophomore classes, but with limited four-year degrees that are offered, juniors and seniors are looking elsewhere.

Utah Valley University in Orem was founded in 1941, and it has more degree choices offered and a much higher enrollment.

Dixie State University has spent plenty and has done plenty to expand its campus. It's time they start looking into the classroom.
