In response to the results of Proposition 1 failing in several counties, including Salt Lake and Utah counties, Abby Albrecht, campaign director for the pro-Prop. 1 Utahns for Responsible Transportation Investments, said, "We still have a long way to go to educate the public on the importance of long-term, integrated transportation funding."

Is Albrecht that daft to insult the residents of Salt Lake and Utah counties, where the largest amount of tax revenue would be generated? The residents of Salt Lake and Utah counties very much understand the importance of long-term, integrated transportation funding. They also understand the importance of long-term fiscal responsible spending, something that is sorely lacking at the UTA.

Come back to the voters in a couple years after there are long term, substantive, and quantifiable changes at UTA. The changes UTA made in the past month are a start. Too bad they were made right before the election and lacked any form of neutrality.
