Former Congressman Jim Hansen's op-ed piece of Oct. 21 was right on target. Hill Air Force Base is a great asset to Utah and to our country. The men and women who work there, both civilians and military, are true patriots. I thank them for their service. Having the F-35 based there will be of great help with their job of protecting our country
Sen. Orrin Hatch and Rep. Hansen deserve much credit and thanks for keeping Hill AFB open and up-to-date. If Rep. Hansen had not retired, he would have made an outstanding speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
