Adding to the shame of the Utah Association of Counties honoring Phil Lyman is the fact that most of these public officials, including Gov. Gary Herbert, belong to a church whose 12th Article of Faith claims, "We believe in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law."

So in Utah, a person can blatantly ignore the laws of the land as well as the laws of the church and end up getting an award for it. Politics still trumps religion, it seems, even here.
