Heavy rains on Friday afternoon caused urban flooding in Salt Lake and Utah counties.
Fire crews responded to six homes with flooded basements in the Sugar House area. The crews hoped to help residents "limit the damage," the Salt Lake City Fire Department reported on Twitter.
"The floods have also brought debris into roads, caused road damage and removed manhole covers," the agency tweeted.
The Salt Lake City Council tweeted that there was "some street and basement flooding reported" in areas such as 2100 South and 2100 East and the 2300 East block of Redondo Avenue (2000 South).
Several homes in Lehi, particularly in the northeastern corner of the city, also flooded, said Lehi police Sgt. Chris Hadlock. Officers helped clean water out of at least two homes' basements.
Damage estimates in Lehi were not immediately available.
The storm also dropped snow in the Uinta Mountains, according to photos of Bald Mountain Pass posted by the Utah Department of Transportation.
The National Weather Service had issued an urban flood advisory for the Salt Lake City's east bench, which was in effect until 3:15 p.m.
