With winds continuing to push particulates from wildfires in the Pacific Northwest and California into Utah, skies in the Beehive State are expected to remain smoky on the weekend.

There is a slight chance of visibility improving on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service, but any improvement will be short-lived.

The Utah Division of Air Quality expects the air quality to be in the "orange" category — "unhealthy for sensitive groups" — on Saturday in Box Elder, Cache, Davis, Salt Lake, Utah and Weber counties.

On Sunday, the air quality is expected to still be unhealthy in Box Elder and Cache, while breathability is predicted to be in the "yellow," or compromised, category in Davis, Salt Lake, Utah and Weber counties.

Highs along the Wasatch Front are expected to reach the low 80s to about 90 on Saturday and climb to the upper 80s to low 90s on Sunday.

Temperatures in the St. George area, where skies also will be smoky, are predicted to hit the upper 90s both weekend days.
