A series of weather systems will bring a chance of valley rain and mountain snow to northern Utah late Saturday through Monday, the National Weather Service is predicting.

Snow accumulations are predicted to be minor.

The state lists the air quality in Salt Lake and Davis counties as moderate all three days of this Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend. No burning and reduced driving are mandated for Saturday and Sunday. Those are voluntary actions for Monday.

Highs along the Wasatch Front should be in the 30s and 40s over the long weekend with lows from near 20 to the low 30s, according to the weather service.

Temperatures are expected to be warmer in southern Utah. Cedar City is predicted to have a highs in the 50s on Saturday through Monday, with lows in the low to mid 20s.

Kanab and Escalante should enjoy highs from the mid 50s to around 60 during the long weekend, while the thermometer is expected to reach the upper 50s to low 60s in St. George.

Weekend lows should drop to the upper 20s to the upper 30s.
