Utah Highway Patrol troopers and other area law enforcement officers continued Monday tokeep an eye out for a man who fled into the state's West Desert during a traffic stop.

The 22-year-old man was in a car pulled over for speeding about 7:20 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 80 near the Tooele County town of Delle. As a trooper spoke with the driver, the man ran from the scene and into the desert night, UHP Sgt. Todd Royce said.

Three other males remained at the scene, were questioned and released.

UHP described the fugitive as a 5-foot-6, 165 pounds black male with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing black jeans and a red-and-white striped shirt when last seen.

Anyone who sees the man should not approach him, as he is considered possibly armed and dangerous. Instead, call UHP at 801-887-3800.
