Draper • An organization that assists women and children fleeing polygamy is offering refuge in a newly remodeled home in Draper.

Officials with Holding Out Help tell Salt Lake City's KUTV that the home will serve families transitioning into secular society.

The 4,600-square-foot home has six bedrooms and will also be the setting for counseling and life skill classes.

Organization founder Tonia Tewell says the home is a "safe place" for people to get rehabilitated.

The home is being funded by private donations from a family in Park City.

Holding Out Help, however, is seeking more donations and specific furniture for new residents.
