The #NeverTrump crowd not giving up as Trump claims nomination. Rep. Love to spend $1 million on re-election ads. State leaders may declare emergency over toxic algae.

Happy Friday. Donald Trump is now officially the Republican presidential nominee, though he has failed to win over some of the party stalwarts who are still stuck in the #NeverTrump movement despite the fact, well, that it's over. Conservative publisher Erick Erickson tweeted, "Shorter Donald Trump: Everything is terrible. Everyone is going to die. Vote for me." Stuart Stevens, a former Romney top aide, said this on Twitter: "Give him credit for this: @RealDonaldTrump is a dark, disturbed man & he sees in the country what he sees in the mirror." And these are from conservatives. [Politico]
