Washington's brinkmanship may be curtailed — for a while. McAdams asks judge for jail time for former aide. Sen. Lee remakes himself into Senate dealmaker.

Happy Monday. The brinkmanship may be over in Washington — at least for a while. In recent years, the stare down between President Barack Obama and the GOP-controlled Congress has created crisis after crisis, solved only at the last minute. But now, with the government funded until a month before Election Day and the debt ceiling raised until 2017, the deal making is pretty much done until Obama's successor takes office.
