Happy Friday. In less than two weeks, the federal government will run out of spending authority — and well, so will Planned Parenthood. Congress has only a few days to figure out how to pass a short-term funding measure with a conservative crowd planning to hold up any budget measure that includes money for Planned Parenthood. And the same people who campaigned against a government shutdown are the same folks now facing the decision. Topping the news: Utah has taken steps to terminate four grants to Planned Parenthood that fund programs monitoring sex education and sexually transmitted disease.
