Kasich team tries to avoid Huntsman label. Biskupski leads in Trib poll. Utah could get its first openly gay Scout leader.

Happy Thursday. John Kasich may have the same team that tried to elect former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman as president — John Weaver, Fred Davis, Matt David — but those behind the Ohio governor's bid for the Oval Office says that's all they have in common. The now-Kasich aides are pushing back on a slew of stories that compared their candidate in 2016 to their candidate in 2012. "Every campaign is different, every race is different—that's pack journalism at its most glib and lazy," former Huntsman and now Kasich chief strategist Weaver said.
