Chaffetz blames the wrong guy in database hack scandal. Herbert, others help raise funds for Lyman's defense. Prosecutors say feds should take Swallow, Shurtleff cases.

Happy Thursday. Rep. Jason Chaffetz lambasted the Obama administration over its hiring of a federal contractor and its role in the hacking of the millions of records of federal employees — only he blamed the wrong guy in doing so. Chaffetz criticized a guy named Owen Li, who he said "lost millions of dollars, under investigation by the Department of Justice," only that's not the same Owen Li. "Unfortunately we got our facts wrong during today's hearing and attributed negative details to the wrong individual," Chaffetz's office later admitted. [Politico]
