A bizarre story to lead off today: Some Russian right-wingers are hoping that Texas actually secedes from the United States and are promoting the idea, using the analogy of Crimea-is-Texas. "If one accepts the current status of Texas despite its controversial origin story, then they are more than obliged to recognize the future status of Crimea," one Russian news outlet wrote.
