The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed that a 19-year-old missionary had died of complications related to an E. coli infection while serving in Argentina.

Church spokesman Eric Hawkins identified the deceased as Brittany Nicole Scadlock, of the Kanesville Stake.

Scadlock, an honor roll graduate of Roy High School, had been serving in the Argentina Resistencia Mission since August 2014, died on Wednesday night.

The church released no other details.

Friends and family have set up a GoFundMe site (http://www.gofundme.com/oiwn2w) to raise donations to cover the costs of final arrangements.
