Kickoff time and television broadcast plans have been finalized for a sixth BYU football game this fall, and it is a big one.

The AdvocCare Texas Kickoff, which will feature BYU vs. Louisiana State University at NRG Stadium in Houston on Sept. 2, will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. MT (8:30 p.m. local time) and will be televised by ESPN.

Six of BYU's 13 regular-season games now have TV plans. See below for the most updated schedule. ESPN or an ESPN network will also televise the BYU-Boise State game, the BYU-UNLV game and the BYU-Fresno State game. CBS Sports Network will television the BYU-Utah State game and the BYU-Hawaii game.

The Sept. 2 game — BYU's second of the season after the Cougars host Portland State — will mark the first-ever meeting between BYU and LSU.

The AdvoCare Texas Kickoff is in its fifth year; NRG Stadium is the home of the NFL's Houston Texans. BYU played Houston at the stadium in 2013, defeating the red-clad Cougars 47-46.

LSU will be the fourth team from the Southeastern Conference (SEC) to appear on BYU's schedule since the Cougars became a college football independent in 2011. They defeated Ole Miss 14-13 in 2011 and Mississippi State 28-21 (2OT) last year. They lost 20-16 to Missouri in 2015.

BYU will also play at Mississippi State on Oct. 14 in Starkville, Miss.
