An Oregon man has time behind bars to contemplate karma, after being busted with a cache of drugs he allegedly planned to sell at the Sri Sri Radha Krisha Temple's annual Holi Festival of Colors in Spanish Fork.

The Utah County Sheriff's Office confirmed that three minors — a boy, 17, and girls ages 16 and 17 — also were with a 19-year-old Bend, Ore., driver when he was arrested.

A sheriff's deputy spotted the suspect and the teens inside a white car driving illegally on the Hobble Creek Parkway walking trail about 6 p.m. Sunday. The deputy stopped the car and when he approached smelled marijuana.

A subsequent search turned up more than 700 Ecstasy pills, 2 grams of cocaine, 8 vials of LSD, 47 grams of marijuana, 12 Xanax pills, and 22 grams of "dabs," or concentrated doses of waxy oil.

In all, the sheriff's office estimates the cache had a street value of at least $25,000. Deputies also seized $1,120 in cash.

The adult suspect was booked into jail on suspicion of four first-degree and two second-degree felony counts of possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute; three third-degree counts of child endangerment; class b misdemeanor DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia; and a traffic infraction for driving on the trail.

He remained in the Utah County jail Wednesday in lieu of $50,000.00 bail.

The minors, cited for marijuana and paraphernalia possession, were initially held in a juvenile detention facility, until a parent drove from Oregon to take them home.

The Holi festival, March 25-26, has become a popular event offering cultural and religious activities ranging from cuisine, dancing, music and the sprays of powdered colors that turn crowds of celebrants into a human rainbow.
