With Signing Day quickly approaching, BYU football coaches landed their 20th commitment over the weekend, Bingham High defensive end Langi Tuifua.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Tuifua announced his commitment during Saturday's Polynesian Bowl in Hawaii.

"They have the greatest coaches down there," Tuifua said on the ESPN3 production. "It is close to home with all of my family."

Tuifua later recovered a fumble in the game.

He is listed as a four-star recruit by Scout.com, and will be second-year head coach Kalani Sitake's first four-star recruit.

"I am really comfortable with that staff and they're all like family to me," Tuifua told Scout.com. "They've got some really good coaches and I've seen a lot of their style up close. It has been good to see how they develop players. I am closest to coach [Ilaisa] Tuiaki and coach [Reno] Mahe and they've been great."

Tuifua had 35 sacks and 200 tackles at Bingham, including 15.5 sacks as a senior. He is listed as the best defensive end from the class of 2017 in Utah, and the No. 245 player in the country by 247Sports.com. His Bingham teammate, defensive tackle Jay Tufele, is a five-star recruit whom BYU is also pursuing. But Tufele is still considered a longshot to pick BYU, despite having the Cougars in his top five.

Another Bingham product, long snapper Brigham Tuatagaloa, also announced he will attend BYU, but it is not clear whether he will receive a scholarship. He had 55 tackles last year for the Miners.

Another Utah prep product the Cougars were hoping to land, Ridgeline linebacker Levani Damuni, committed to Stanford during the Polynesian Bowl. Also, Charles Moku Watson, a DB out of Hawaii, picked Oregon State over BYU on Saturday.

Tuifua originally committed to Utah, then decommitted and committed to Oregon. He backed off that promise in November when Oregon fired head coach Mark Helfrich.

Counting junior college transfer John Vaka, an offensive lineman from Diablo Valley (Calif.) CC who signed in December, BYU now has 20 players pledged for Feb. 1 signing day.

There are rumors that a few players on the list, which I have presented below, have had their offers pulled. I'm going to leave all the names on the list until I get better information, but let this serve as notice that the list is a bit fluid at the moment.

I've also included the 10 known commitments from the class of 2018 and the three commitments from the class of 2019.
