Brooksby named Player of the Week in the Mountain West

Utah State senior forward Jessica Brooksby has been named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Brooksby, who is from Hyde Park, led the Utah State women's soccer team to a a pair of Mountain West victories over Fresno State (4-0) and San José State (2-1).

Against the Bulldogs, Brooksby scored one goal and assisted on two others. She scored both goals in the Aggies' victory over the Spartans, including the game-winner in the 86th minute.

This is the second time in her career Brooksby has received Player of the Week honors.

Utah State leads the Mountain West with a record of 9-5 overall and 5-1 in league play. This week, the Aggies visit New Mexico (Friday) and San Diego State (Sunday)
