The Big Event on Monday is, of course, the first of three debates between presidential contenders Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump (7 p.m., Channels 2, 4, 5, 7, 11, 13, CNBC, CNN, C-SPAN, FNC, MSNBC).

Given everything else that has happened this election cycle, I'm not even going to attempt to guess what will happen during this 90-minute faceoff.

The debate will pre-empt a lot of regular programming and move other shows to later time slots.
