Not much has changed. That's abundantly clear. This is now the fifth installment of the statewide top 25 rankings, and Bingham, East and Lone Peak remain in the same positions they've held from the onset.

Alta moved up to No. 4 after erasing an 18-point deficit in the second half to upend Timpview, and Fremont — which might be the scariest team no one is talking about — ascended into the top five for the first time this season. The Silver Wolves are dangerous, with Saxton Morby, Haze Hadley and Austin Freeman tearing it up.

Region 1 has a long history of placing programs in the semifinals, and Fremont very well could be that team this year. However, the Silver Wolves play in one of three ranked-ranked games in Week 5 (East plays nationally-ranked De La Salle in Calif. on Friday):

No. 5 Fremont at No. 10 Roy

No. 21 Viewmont at No. 19 Syracuse

No. 23 Skyridge at No. 22 Corner Canyon

It's the fewest amount of ranked-ranked games this season.

Roy enjoyed the biggest jump this week, shooting up the rankings by five spots. The Royals can show their performance against Corner Canyon (lost 36-6) was an anomaly against Fremont.

Other teams moving up more than one spot: Herriman (+3), American Fork (+3), Highland (+3), Desert Hills (+3), Layton (+3), Fremont (+2), Springville (+2), Olympus (+2).

Corner Canyon plummeted nine spots after blowing a huge lead against winless Orem at home. Davis also fell nine spots following its upset loss against Viewmont, and West Jordan dropped eight spots after being embarrassed by Bingham. Timpview, which slid five spots, was the only other team to fall in the rankings.

There are two newcomers this week: No. 21 Viewmont and No. 25 Brighton. The Vikings have put together consecutive wins against ranked opponents — Woods Cross and Davis — after losing in overtime to Bountiful in Week 2.

The inclusion of the Bengals might be surprising, considering they're 1-3. Those losses, however, were against No. 6 Herriman, No. 5 Fremont and No. 7 American Fork. Look for this team to start stringing together wins.
