Tyrone Corbin is back in the NBA coaching ranks.

After head coaching stints with the Utah Jazz and the Sacramento Kings, Corbin's hiring by the Phoenix Suns as an assistant coach is now official.

Corbin was an interim head coach for the Kings during the 2014-2015 season, before he was let go to make room for George Karl. He took over for the Jazz when Jerry Sloan retired during the 2011 season, and he led the Jazz to one playoff appearance.

Corbin played for the Suns in the late 1980s so this will be a return for him. He will be working for Earl Watson, who played for Corbin with the Jazz. New of Corbin's hiring broke during the week of the NBA Draft.
