Worries grow about security at GOP convention. Herbert defeats Johnson, Chaffetz beats Teng. Snow becomes first transgender major party nominee for the U.S. Senate.

Happy Wednesday. We're 19 days away from the Republican National Convention in Cleveland where some delegates may try to wrest the nomination from Donald Trump. Beyond that, there appears to be a profound worry about security. Activists — both pro- and anti-Trump — will flood the streets of downtown Cleveland, sometimes simultaneously, and could create a volatile atmosphere for conventiongoers.
