A 30-year-old man was in "extremely critical condition" after a car hit his motorcycle in Taylorsville on Thursday afternoon.

The man was traveling west on 5400 South when a car turning left struck his motorcycle near 1300 West, said Unified police Lt. Lex Bell. He was transported to a nearby hospital in "really bad shape" about 3 p.m., Bell said.

The driver of the car was in serious, but stable condition.
