Police have identified an 18-year-old motorcyclist killed early Thursday in West Jordan as Caleb Allen.
Police Lt. Reed Motzkus said Allen, of West Valley City, was driving east on 8200 South shortly before midnight on Wednesday when he entered the roundabout at 6000 West, hit the curb, fell off the motorcycle and slid into a fence post.
Allen — who was not wearing a helmet and suffered head trauma — was taken to University Hospital, where he later died, Motzkus said.
