The Relic Run, one of the more interesting retro motorized events in Utah, has scheduled its eighth annual expedition June 16 to June 19 in Utah's West Desert.

The main requirement to participate is owning a four-wheel drive vehicle that is a 1970 model or older. In the spirit of the event, members also use only camping gear that is that old or older as well.

That means vintage gas stoves and lanterns, old tents, and other gear that has been replaced over the years by more modern outdoor equipment.

This year's event is being called the West Desert Bomb Run. Participants will meet at the Silver Sage in Vernon at 10 a.m. Plans including visiting Fish Springs National Wildlife Refuge, Callao, Gandy Warm Springs, Gold Hill and a tour of the Historic Wendover Air Field. The Wendover tour costs $30 per person and includes lunch.
